I could never take credit for starting this company or any of its success —
that would be incredibly selfish of me. I stumbled upon RR when I began consulting for Indie Beauty brands and retailers during my father’s struggle with stage four cancer. I had a business degree, a love for beauty products, and been in the “clean beauty” industry since it’s rise in 2011. No true boutique digital agency existed in this industry yet but thanks word of mouth from so many friends and clients — news spread like… well news.
Before RR was born, I worked in Green Beauty in various roles from retail and artistry, to purchasing and design while I worked my way through Business school where I met my soon to be business partner. I watched a small but persistent few fuel a movement for inclusive beauty and take on some of the largest toxic industries in America.
RR has consumed me in so many ways and in it I have found friends who became clients, clients who became friends whom are all the magnanimous warriors of the pillars of the imminent future of beauty: transparency, equality, and authentic beauty.
It is our philosophy that a brand need not be the loudest, but only the most persistent. I won’t lie to you, we’re swimming upstream but it is my goal to build a company that can give even the smallest brand a frequency loud enough to cut through the digital static of mainstream beauty.
P.S. I speak for our team when I say, “big beauty" — fuck you.
Beauty rebels forever,
Izzy and the RR team
